The project was inspired by the organic forms of Le Corbusier's architecture, in particular the Ronchamp Chapel and its design elements. The sinuous curves, the concave and convex volumes of this building serve as a construction and design reference. The leg profile mirrors the table top’s shape, as if one were the reflection of the other. The elements are joined by an innovative polychrome terrazzo material made of resin and precious onyx. The components are joined by a "liquid" material, as in the ancient Japanese technique of Kintsugi, the art of protecting ceramics through the grafting of gold between the broken parts. Art, design and architecture commingle in a single project.
