Marmomacc - the most important international natural stone industry show ranging from architecture and design with stone to stone processing machinery – is scheduled in Verona on 30 September - 3 October 2015 in conjunction with Abitare il Tempo, the interior design and furnishing event.
DIGITAL LITHIC DESIGN show is organized by with the contribution of the leaders of the sector.
Developed by designer and curator Raffaello Galiotto, DIGITAL LITHIC DESIGN looks deeper into marble, as a natural material that cannot be reproduced and that must therefore be processed while equally limiting waste and use of energy. New technologies can make an important contribution, if they are involved in the creative-design process, towards the production of items with strong three-dimensionality and complexity with minimal waste of resources. The exhibition aims to highlight, through a number of Works, the potential of technological excellence, processing capacity and creativity in the Italian natural stone industry.
As the heir to an ancient marble working tradition, Italy still ranks as a landmark capable of merging design, technology and processing skills. New computer-controlled engineering systems and digital design today define a new frontier for this ancient material, thereby opening up new ways for designing and working natural stone.
The Design & Technology exhibition aims to highlight the technological excellence, processing capacity and creativity of the Italian natural stone industry.
As the heir to an ancient marble working tradition, Italy still ranks as a major home to extraordinary potential capable of merging design, technology and processing skills.
New computer-controlled engineering systems and digital design today define a new frontier for this ancient material, thereby opening up new ways for designing and working natural stone. Knowledge and awareness of the material and production processes, informed use and efforts to reduce waste and energy consumption are some of the essential aspects of future stone design projects seen in terms of a creative process promoting stone through a modern image.
The event will tackle several specific technical and processing aspects (5-axis bridge saws with tool, diamond disc, lathe, robot, water jet, etc.) through a preview display of experimental works specifically developed by designer and curator Raffaello Galiotto for leading Italian companies in the sector.

MADE Expo 2011 offers the finest business opportunities for the project engineering construction sector liable to emerge both from the domestic market and from the most rapidly growing countries abroad. MADE Expo offers an analysis of the direction markets are headed in, aiming to stay one step ahead of the changes under way.
Abitare il Tempo 100% Project, organised by Veronafiere, is the only event on the international trade fair scene focusing on Knowledge rather than on Products and aims to offer a genuine opportunity to relaunch the market on a fresh, innovative footing.
The event, held in the new Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre from 5 to 9 February, presents a 360° vision of architecture and the construction sector, taking an overall look at what they have to offer and at the same time focusing on the specific characteristics of the individual areas, highlighting the innovations and technological research that are the hallmark of the exhibitors present. Exemplifying specific features, premium quality and excellence, knowledge systems and specialisation: these are the key concepts that epitomise what MADE Expo has to offer.
